DIY Pretzel Kit

Kit includes:

One frozen Duluth’s Best Bread big fat German pretzel and kosher salt

Baking:

Preheat oven to 425°F and place frozen pretzel on a baking sheet. Moisten top of pretzel with water and sprinkle salt on top. Bake for 6 to 8 minutes or until pretzel is golden brown and fully warmed.

How to form pizza dough:

-While removing your dough from the plastic wrap, be sure to keep the dough as circular as possible

-Coat the dough with flour on all sides and place on a clean floured surface

-Begin flattening the dough with your palm while keeping the middle just a tad thicker. Keeping the dough thicker in the middle helps prevent soggy pizza! Gently pop any bubbles that appear.

-Once your dough is about 8-10” in diameter, gently pick up the pizza by the edge and promptly start turning the dough in both hands like a steering wheel, but not too slow! The weight of the dough itself will slowly stretch and get bigger. Be sure to not hold the dough up in one place without turning, or you will lose the circular shape.

-If you’d like to make your crust even larger, gently pick up the dough, hold both of your hands in fists near the edge, and very gently pull your fists apart and repeat around the whole crust until you achieve your desired size.

*Note: If you tear a hole in your crust, don’t panic! Simply lay it down on the counter, and pinch the hole shut. Make sure to put some extra flour down under the patched hole to prevent the dough from sticking to your counter or baking surface.

Baking Instructions:

-Preheat oven to 500ºf
-Bake for 10-12 minutes or until crust is golden

Tips for assembling your pizza:

-Make sure you have some flour between your crust and your baking surface

-Go light on the sauce! A little goes a long way. Too much sauce creates a soggy pizza and ain't nobody got time for that.

-Adding your parmesan directly on top of the sauce will give the sauce an even better flavor!

-Get creative! Add whatever toppings you prefer! We only recommend putting cheese down before the rest of the toppings.
